Luck and this economy

This month's sales message from Kathy Garland

We usually think of good luck and fun on St. Patrick's Day. Most of us have looked at someone and said, "She is so lucky."

Is there really such a thing as good luck? How can I create good luck in an economy that is so volatile?

Here are my tips about creating your own "luck." Focus on these practices to improve your luck and your performance:

  1. Be clear about what you want. Be crystal clear. Write it down often.
  2. Make a plan.
  3. Follow your plan. To the nth degree.
  4. Be persistent.

Most sales professionals don't make the sales they want because they don't follow up. The average person gives up after 1.5 calls.

Create more luck for your business by joining my Sterling Business Builder program.  Our call this Friday is titled:  "Your Brand is Your Business."  Check below for details.

A little fun...

Did you know that the longest running St. Patrick's Day celebration is in Boston, Massachusetts? Their first celebration was in 1737!

The world's shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade is in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The parade marches across Bridge Street, designated as the world's shortest street. Check it out at www.hotsprings.org and click on Festivals and Events.

Most of us celebrate St. Patrick's Day because of the fun. Check out this site to locate a parade in your area: http://www.saintpatricksdayparade.com/ Leprechauns and four-leaf clovers decorate the party favors and parade floats.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
